In 2021 Ben Co-Founded The Citizen Collective. True to Ben’s sustainability vision in his restaurants, The Citizen rescues foods that would otherwise go to waste, and upcycle them into delicious food and drink. In 2022 and 2021 Citizen Collective has been recognised by industry experts, by winning the Innovation Award at Tamaki Makaurau Zero Waste Awards and Going Circular Award at the Sustainable Business Network Awards
